About this Pooja

This Maha Purana was written by Sage Ved Vyas. Shri Mad Bhagwat contains dialogues between God and his devotees. It is considered to be conveyed through Shreemukh i.e. from lips of God. Among 18 Maha Purana, Shri Mad Bhagwat is most widely read and served. Life values and attainment with futility of greed and material possession are defined in this Maha Purana. Shri Mad Bhagwat Purana consists of eighteen thousand shlokas, distributed amongst 332 chapters and divided into twelve cantos (skandhas). Shri Mad Bhagwat is the most complete and authoritative exposition of Vedic knowledge. It covers everything from the nature of the self to the origin of the universe, and contains the History of Aryans and touches upon all fields of knowledge.
