As per Hindu astrology, Sade Sati is the 7-1/2 year-long period of Saturn (Shani) in ones’ Rashi, due to her planetary movement. According to some astrologers, during this time, there may be many challenges in a person's life and this person may face accidents, sudden failures, job loss, as well as money and health problems. However, some astrologers claim that many people actually achieve a lot of success during the period of Sade Sati. The positive or negative impact of Sade Sati depends upon placement of Saturn in a person's birth chart.
As per astrology, a person experiences one cycle of Shani Sade Sati once every thirty years and Saturn mahadasha may or may not be experienced by an individual during this lifetime, depending upon Nakshatra at the time of birth.
