About this Pooja

The fifth chapter of Shri Ram Charit Manas is Sunder Kand and it narrates the movement of Lord Hanuman in quest of Devi Sita during abduction by Ravana. Sundar Kand gives in details the version of meeting of Hanuman with Vibhishan (Brother of Ravana), Sita, killing of Akshya Kumar, son of Ravana and burning of Lanka by Hanuman among others. It symbolizes the motivation and bravery of true devotee while fighting for justice.
