About this Pooja

As per Hindu culture and ceremonies, when the elder of family dies, the responsibility of family welfare and carrying on family traditions automatically transcends to the next eldest member of family i.e. eldest son or younger brother of deceased through the ceremony of Rasam Pagri. The new family chief seeks the blessings of Brahmins and other family members and vows to carry on the good work of family. After prayers, the eldest is knighted with Pagri and the congregation departs. After this ceremony, family resumes its normal life.

We advise that for such an important occasion, a proper ceremony is conducted by a learned and expert Pundit; to bring blessings to the passed away and for the loved ones.
