What is Goddess Brahmacharini Pooja?

As per Hindu mythology and customs, the ‘pious’ or ‘sanyasin’ form of Goddess Durga which is Goddess brahmacharini, is worshipped on the second day of navratri festival. Her severe penance (tapa) defines the loyalty and love for lord Shiva. ‘Brahma’ refers to the tapa that Maa Brahmacharini performed for thousands of years, without even consuming food for getting Lord Shiva as her life partner (husband). Pooja of Goddess Brahmacharini helps in gaining strength and wisdom, as she is the bank of knowledge and wisdom. One achieves the stability and passion in life inspiring from her strict tapa and the strength to overcome any kind of hurdles.
