About this pooja
During the independence struggle, great reformer Swami Dayanand Saraswati observed that some of the age old religious practices and rituals have become a means of superstition and blind faith. As per his realization, ancient knowledge written in Vedas is the foundation of modern civilization as such recitation of mantras on different occasions play an important role in our welfare and positive contribution for the betterment of society. He was of the strong opinion that the ancient knowledge and its interpretation should no longer be the privilege of Brahmins by birth; rather every person should read and expound such knowledge. Every born Hindu is an Aryan and should perform Havana/yajana daily and on every special occasion.
