About this Pooja

As per prevailing Hindu customs and Shashtras, the death ceremonies are undertaken until 13th day of death wherein departed soul is remembered and daily prayers are held for peace of noble soul. During this period, elder son and other family members undertake Pind daan and daily recitation from holy books are undertaken. During these 13 days, family remains isolated and any celebration or work is prohibited. On 13th day, a Havan/yajana is performed by Brahmins for the final peace of the departed soul. Brahmins, relatives, family members and friends are offered food as a conclusion of death ceremony, which is followed by Shanti Path and Rasam Pagri.

We advise that for such an important occasion, a proper ceremony is conducted by a learned and expert Pundit to bring blessings to the passed away and for the loved ones.
