About this Pooja

Most auspicious festival of lights, Diwali, associated with wealth and prosperity, is celebrated throughout the country. We celebrate this festival as Lord Rama returned to his kingdom Ayodhya after defeating demon king, Ravana and conquering Sri Lanka. It is also a popular belief that it is the celebration of the marriage of Lakshmi with Lord Vishnu. Diwali Pooja is conducted to worship Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess responsible for creation of wealth, who is believed to be in her most benevolent mood on this day, fulfilling the wishes of her devotees. Lord Ganesha, the symbol of auspiciousness and wisdom, is also worshiped on this day.
